Paris trip - Day 7. Dolls Museum, pt. 4

Вот, наконец, мы и добрались до самого лакомого - для меня эта выставка представляет особый интерес, поскольку я коллекционирую кукол Барби. Мои, правда, далеко не так роскошны, в основном девяностых годов, да реплика самой первой - это та блондинка, что в полосатом костюме посередине.

So finally we got to the sweetest part - this temporary exhibition is very special for me, because I collect Barbie dolls. Though, mine are not that chic, mostly they are from the 90s and a replica of the first Barbie ever - that blonde in stripe swimsuit in the middle.

Название ее - #850 Ponytail. Вышла она в 1959 году и с тех пор началось триумфальное шествие американской мечты по планете. Излишне приводить здесь всю историю ее появления, она легко гуглится. Штука в том, что стоят такие куклы сейчас больше 5000$ в зависимости от состояния.

It is named #850 Ponytail. It has been released in 1959 and since then american dream conquered the world. Unnecessary to post all the history of the doll here, it is quite easy to google. The thing is dolls like this cost more than 5000$ per piece depending on condition.

А вот ее двойняшка брюнетка - это Silkstone производства 2009 года. Silkstone - тип кукол, получивший название в честь композитного материала, из которого изготавливаются их тела. Это вид коллекционных кукол, трактующих винтажные образы в современном ключе, а тела их приближены по пропорциям к оригинальным молдам. Так вот, брюнетку создал Роберт Бест специально к пятидесятилетию куклы и для парижского модного фестиваля кукол. Ее тираж всего 500 экземпляров. Роберт Бест - дизайнер Маттел с середины 1990-х. 

And here is her twin - Silkstone made in 2009. Silkstone is a type of dolls named after composed material their bodies are made of. It is a type of collectors dolls representing vintage looks in a modern way. Their bodies are quite similar to original molds. So, the brunette was created by Robert Best specially for 50th anniversary of Barbie for Paris Fashion Doll Festival. This models counts 500 copies only. Robert Best is a Mattel designer since middle of the 90s.

А правее - Bubblecut 62 года, на ней комплект #1655 1966 года. За ней - современный набор нарядов, созданный для линейки Silkstone в 2006 году Робретом Бестом. Называется Honey in Hollywood.

Самая правая - Барби Silkstone Hihland Fling, создана Робретом Бестом в 2005. Куклы серии Silkstone - одни из самых выгодных и дешевых вложений, поскольку их цена с годами увеличивается. Иногда, кстати, цены на кукол колеблются в зависимости от каких-то событий. Например, пара Кейт Миддлстон и принц Уильям стала так популярна, что при начальной цене около 60$ их сет со свадьбы ныне можно найти только за 220$. 

Блондинка впереди - Silkstone Tout de Suite, опять же от Роберта Беста, 2007 года. Афроамериканка Silkstone Lingerie #5 - 2002 год, Роберт Бест. Ну и Барби с медными волосами - Lingerie Elegance его же, 2004 год. 

The most right doll is Barbie Silkstone Highland Fling created by Robert Best in 2005. Silkstone dolls are one of the most profitable and cheapest investments, because their price is increasing over the years. Sometimes, dolls prices depend on some events. E.g. Kate Middlestone and Prince William wedding couple set became so popular, that starting price 60$ is forgotten now - it cost around 220$. 

The blonde in front is again one by Robert Best from 2007 - it's Silkstone Tout de Suite. Afroamerican - Silkstone Lingerie #5 - 2002, also by Robert best. And his creation again - Barbie with copper hairs - Lingerie Elegance, year 2004.

OOAK - это обозначение One Of A Kind - модифицированные куклы Барби в единичном экземпляре, обычно переделанные энтузиастами. Эта была сделана Magia 2000 в 2014 году - Couture at Rue Saint-Honore. Magia 2000 - итальянский дуэт Марио Пальино и Джанни Гросси, объединенный в 1999 страстью к куклам и моде. Они участвовали в многочисленных выставках в Италии, Европе и США. Сегодня их творения очень ценятся среди коллекционеров.
OOAK means One Of A Kind - modified by enthusiasts, usually, Barbie dolls created in a single copy. This one was created by Magia 2000 in 2014 - Couture at Rue Saint-Honore. Magia is an italian duo Mario Paglino and Gianni Grossi, who were united in 1999 by fashion and dolls passion. They were participating in many Italy, Europe and US exhibitions. Today their creations are highly valued among the collectors.

Такие вещи тоже очень ценны, потому что они изначально хрупки и до наших дней дошло их мало, несмотря на то, что ему всего 55 лет. Сзади в белом редкая American Girl со сгибающимися ногами 1966 года. А ее наряд создан Anne Marie Crivelli в 1977 году и называется Bal des Petits Lits Blancs. Анн-Мари Кривелли - французская модистка, которая создала 3 наряда для Барби, которые были коммерциализированы Mattel в Европе. Барби в синем Knitting Pretty #957 63 года - Bubblecut #850. 

There's a rare thing represented in this picture. It's a cardboard fashion Barbie store from 1962. Stuff like this are very valuable, cause they are very fragile in a first place and not much were saved until now, despite it was issued only 55 years ago. In the back there's rare American Girl with bending legs from 1966. Her outfit was made in 1977 by Anne Marie Crivelli and called Bal des Petits Lits Blancs. Anne Marie Crivelli - french modiste who made 3 outfits for Barbie that were commerciallized by Mattel in Europe. Barbie, wearing blue Knitting Pretty #957 from 63 is a Bubblecut #850.

В середине великолепная OOAK "Couture at the Arc de Triomphe", созданная опять же Magia 2000, сделанная в 2014 году.

А это - брюнетка Bubblecut 63 года в наряде Party Date #958 63 года. Кстати, по ней видна распространенная проблема старых кукол - у них выцветала краска на губах, поэтому модели с сохранившимся цветом помады автоматом стоят куда дороже таких.
And this one is brunette Bubblecut from 63 wearing Party Date #958 from 63. Also you can see very common problem of old dolls - their lips are dyeing, so copies with full-colored lips cost much more than ones like this.
